Campy horror individuality Elvira, aka Cassandra Peterson, when owned Brad Pitt’s Los Angeles house … and swears it is haunted. Pitt, who was initially Elvira’s neighbor, bought the property from the actor in 1994. Pitt talks much more about his home and the spooky tales behind it in his modern interview for GQ.
Brad Pitt’s haunted household
For his job interview, Pitt invited GQ’s Ottessa Moshfegh to his residence. Continue to Pitt’s favorite among his several houses, the sprawling Craftsman is located in Hollywood’s Los Feliz area and was the 1st household he purchased back in 1994. Moshfegh recounts Peterson’s claims of the property becoming haunted in the interview, crafting,
“[Peterson] after heard the audio of footsteps coming from the uninhabited 3rd flooring, noticed the ghost of a nurse, and a guy in period clothes sitting down in the vicinity of the fireplace. She also statements Mark Hamill explained to her he lived in the dwelling in the 1960s right until his roommate hanged himself in a bedroom closet.” (GQ).
Undeterred by the tales, Pitt purchased the house for $1.7 million shortly soon after his breakout function in Thelma & Louise. He tells GQ, “It was seriously run-down and dilapidated … I lived listed here for a couple of decades, then I bounced all-around in all places, just let good friends crash below, and then somewhere in the aughts, I mounted it up.”
Moshfegh describes the house in the article, composing that the property is painted “a caramel shade of cedar, and the ground flooring rooms are appointed with classic home furnishings and tasteful artwork.” She goes on to say that there are “no prospers of luxury to the spot, apart from the very simple fineness of the home, excellent in its adherence to its early-20th-century aesthetic.”
Pitt has grown his estate due to the fact 1994, acquiring the neighboring attributes to make a distinctive 1.9-acre compound that is estimated to include above 80,000 sq. toes of residing place. The property also offers a pool, a skate park, a tennis pavilion, and many other households for company.
