How did Dave Grohl arrive up with the name Foo Fighters?

Just after Nirvana dissolved, adhering to the demise of Kurt Cobain, Grohl launched his own musical venture—a band he dubbed Foo Fighters. In a 2010 interview with Clash, Grohl uncovered what encouraged the band’s name, admitting that he was drawn in by the phrase that Planet War II allied fighters had for UFOs – “foo fighters.”
