The band in the beginning shaped as a trio termed the Ambassadors in 1964, as the Edinburgh News studies. The group was produced up of Alan Longmuir, his brother Derek Longmuir, and their cousin Neil Porteous. They finished up altering their name to the Saxons and additional a school close friend, Gordon Clark, to be the lead singer.
